Bash-Kaindy

Kirgisistan

2024

The water rushes down the cliffside, crashing into the depths below, while horses graze on green meadows and gold prospectors make their way through the mountain landscape.
At an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level lies the Shar Waterfall, pouring into the gorge of the Bash-Kaindy River in Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn region. With a free fall of 220 meters and a total height of around 400 meters, it is considered the highest waterfall in Central Asia.
